PWR

Over 9000 Canadian women lose the battle to gynecological and breast cancer every year. The Division of Radiation Oncology at McGill University Health Centre strives to reduce this number by expanding their research division with the help of donors and with the help of our passionate and talented team. Together, we created The Program for Women’s cancer Research (PWR) to improve cure rates for these women and a landmark fundraising event from soup to nuts. Some would say it was more the later, considering the event’s success was contingent on in-person participation during the peak of the global pandemic.

It’s been said that necessity is the mother of all invention. Or is it adversity? For us both seemed true. We needed to help PWR raise funds for an undeniably important cause in adverse conditions. So, we worked in bubbles. La Grande Roue de Montréal, Canada’s largest observation wheel, provided us with the bubbles in the form of large capacity gondolas. Celebrity chefs provided guests with a curated 3 course culinary experience that could be savored from 60 meters high.

The branding, programing, promotion, sponsorships, and ticket sales were all part of our solution. A solution that raised over $150 000 in its inaugural year.

We are humbled, we are grateful and we’re at it again for a second year. Now with an impressive title sponsor, La Roche Posay.
